Our client is a leading retail chain with stores located across Bulgaria. For their accounting team, we are looking for an experienced and motivated professional to join on the role of:

Accounting Supervisor

Key responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and lead the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks, month-end close, and reporting.
  • Financial Reporting: Participate  in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
  • Account Reconciliations: Oversee the reconciliations of accounts, including bank statements, general ledger accounts, and intercompany accounts.
  • Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors, tax authorities, providing necessary documentation and support to ensure successful audits
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and explore opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the accounting function, implementing best practices.
  • Training and Development: Provide guidance and mentorship to accounting team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment with focus on quality.
  • Projects: Participate in various projects as assigned by senior management, contributing to the overall finance team agenda.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in retail business is considered an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
  • Experience with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
