For their big family, we are looking for an experienced candidate for the position of Head of Research and Development, to Lead the charge in hygiene innovation.

The Head of R&D and QA/QC spearheads the development of competitive disposable and tissue products (diapers, wipes, etc.). Responsible for all technology and quality aspects, they ensure product safety, minimize risks, and maintain consistent production quality. Deep expertise in product creation, regulations, and certifications is crucial, as is reporting directly to the Business Unit Head. This visionary leader drives innovation while guaranteeing quality, and shaping the future of hygiene products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead research, development, and launch of new/existing products, overseeing the entire lifecycle (concept to Ensure products meet customer needs, regulations, and legal standards.
• Conduct thorough cost analyses, seeking improvement opportunities without compromising quality.
• Provide effective leadership and motivation to R&D, lab technicians, and QA/QC staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Partner with marketing to analyze trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs, uncovering new market opportunities.
• Create costings based on raw materials and manufacturing, seeking alternatives and production efficiency improvements.
• Design and implement standard operating procedures for new recipes and products, ensuring seamless production integration.
• Actively participate in cross-functional collaborations to drive product development and launch success.

Requirements:

• Bachelor/ Master of Science in Chemistry or Physics, Engineering is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in product development processes.
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in people management.
• Knowledge of Pulp and paper chemistry and polymer chemistry could be an advantage.
• Solid analytical skills, attention to detail, and process thinking are so important.
• Proactive in seeking solutions and good problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Driver's license and willingness to travel.
