Accounts Payable Team Leader with Romanian (New SSC)
Job Overview
The Senior Accounts Payable Accountant plays a critical role in managing complex accounting tasks, overseeing large-scale vendor accounts, and leading the resolution of tax and compliance issues. This position focuses on process efficiency, mentorship of junior staff, and adherence to both internal policies and regulatory requirements. The role may involve strategic planning related to cash flow and cost management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process invoices from receipt to payment, ensuring accuracy and timely handling;
- Lead and manage communication for critical accounts or issues, supporting both internal and external stakeholders;
- Oversee vendor account maintenance, manage month-end and year-end close processes, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations;
- Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics, analyzing results for process improvements;
- Mentor junior team members, focusing on development and KPI/SLA alignment;
- Assist in tracking and reporting departmental performance metrics and onboarding new hires;
- Stand in for team lead when required, providing guidance to junior team members and ensuring smooth workflow.

Job requirements:
- Fluency in Romanian and English (C1);
- Previous experience as Accounts Payable Accountant- of at least 3-4 years is a must;
- Working experience in an international field is preferable;
- Proficiency in Excel is needed.
