For them we are looking for a highly motivated and responsible professional for the position:
Category Мanager - Drinks and Tobacco
Main Responsibilities:
• Manage commercial budgets with responsibility for revenue streams, operational expenditure proceeds, margin and supplier income;
• Manage effectively OPEX budget to maximize value for money ratio;
• Develop Category plans and continuously monitor category performance, intervene when plan timelines are not being met, provide update on plan performance, and resolve under-performance when necessary;
• Grow supplier partnerships to maximize category knowledge and develop new category concepts partnering on promotions, trading terms, advertising, product launches/product development and product/range maintenance;
• Monitor competitor activities and - propose competitive response using inventory of retail marketing communications and as agreed by CR category managers (including GRT reports, market share reports);
• Work with other Category Managers to maximize synergy across the ranges;
• Collaborate effectively across marketing departments to deliver the overall strategy;
• Define clear action plans to address gap vs target, with main focus on volume and value;
• Consult and engage Sales & Ops in category plans and concept development;
• Advise and consult formats for the roll out the Category Planograms in line with market data, sales mix, sales data and category trends, with input from the Operations teams and Suppliers;
• Effectively communicate category management practices and programs with Retailers, being involved in training programmes where required, giving feedback and providing full support on promotions;
• Interface with Territory Managers, Convenience Retail Implementers, Marketing department, Audit agency and Retailers to ensure compliance at store level of required product range, recommended retail pricing, KVI pricing, store layouts, promotions and accurate sales data.
Qualifications and Skills:
• University degree;
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (preferable within Retail);
• Good experience managing internal and external stakeholders;
• Results-oriented approach: ability to set, track and achieve specific outcomes while prioritizing within strict timelines;
• Strong commercial mindset; proficient commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills;
• Collaborative - able to work across multiple external and internal touch points, a team player;
• Agility - able to respond at speed to changing business demands, reacting to challenging or unforeseen circumstances in a calm and measured manner;
• Good overall understanding of Retail business;
• Experience of working with suppliers;
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
• Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative;
• Excellent command of English – both written and spoken;
• Clean driving license.
